Hope this bento can give some energy to my husband, who needs extra workdays on weekend.
Here’s my short recipe🪄
- 1 piece Unagi Kabayaki
- 4 pieces Inari-age (稲荷揚げ) / Seasoned Abura-age
- 1 cup Rice, Cooked
- 2 teaspoons Sushi Vinegar
- Sweet Soy Sauce (optional)
- Remove the inari-age from the package. Drain any excess juice / sauce from the inari-age package.
- Cut at the edge of the inari-age, to create pockets.
Cut the Unagi into 7mm wide and heat it in the microwave for 3 minutes. (Tips: To have a nice cut, I cut the Unagi while its frozen)- Add the Sushi Vinegar into the cooked rice and mix well.
Then stuff the rice into each Inari age piece, top with the Unagi and drizzle with sweet soy sauce.
