Ingredients:
- Mackerel, 1pc
- Lotus Roots, 2pcs
- Konjac
- Baby Pak Choi, 75g
Condiments:
- Sesame Oil
- Salt and Black Pepper
Garnish:
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Lettuces
- Oba (Basil Leaves)
- Beni Shōga (Red Pickled Ginger)
- Sesame Seeds
How to make:
Preparations:
- If using the frozen mackerel, thaw before use.
- Clean and pull out any bones from the mackerel fillet using kitchen tweezers.
Steps:
- Add Olive oil evenly over the mackerel skin.
- Season the fillet with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Place mackerel fillets skin side up. Bake the fillets at preheated oven of 200°C for about 10 minutes, or until the skin starts to brown & crisp.
Notes:
- Line baking tray with cooking paper for easy cleaning.
- Serve with sliced lemon or a side condiment of grated daikon radish (Daikon oroshi).
